Born 1981, David started out drumming on his first toy drum kit at age 3. by age 5 he had the real thing and had started to go to drum lessons with John Wilson (Taste, Them etc). By age age 8 he was performing in public and has been busy hitting things ever since.

After studying music at Gcse level David spent the summer of 97' at the International Jazz Summer School at University of Ulster before joining the first Btec National Diploma Class to study Popular music at the North Down & Ards Institute. After 99' David went into full time employment outside the music industry whilst continuing to write and record with the band 'CLAY' which he joined at age 15. It was at this time he began to get interested in working on the other side of the mics and along with Billy McAuley bought a basic Protools system to start doing some demo recording for the band. A few years later and David has now opened a new music facility in co.Down called Millstone Music. A recording/rehearsal/teaching/writing studio with a large live room perfect for teaching and recording drums.

David has been teaching drums for quite a number of years now but in the last 5 years his tuition has really come into it's own. As well as teaching private lessons David has also taught in Dawsons Music Academy in Bangor, teaching the Rockschool syllabus to group classes.

It's been a busy few years in many aspects, any here's hoping it's just the beginning of greater things to come.
